 ADVANTAGE AND DISADVANTAGES OF ICS INTEGRATED  CIRCUIT.

ADVANTAGE:

1.There is great savings  in space and  weight. 

2.production  time of equipment  using ICS is reduced as many  component  are fabricated  on a single  chip.

3. Less operating  power is required. 

4.Layout  of the  circuit  of the  equipment  becomes  simple. 

5. It can work  within good  temperature  limits.

6.Reliability  is increased  as points  to point wiring  of the  circuit  is  avoided. 


DISADVANTAGES:


1. The  whole  IC becomes  useless  even if a single  component  in IC fails.

2. Inductor  cannot be  fabricated  in IC. 

3.It is  not possible to make alteration in the  circuit. 

4. Capacitor  of  value more than 30 pF cannot  be fabricated  in ICS.
