  Definition  metal and  non  METALS

 METALS: METALS possesses luster in their  pure  state. Metal are hard. It possesses  property of marketability and  ductility. Metal  are good  conductor of heat and electricity and their  melting points are high. Metals are sonorous. 

Metal  combine  with  oxygen to form metal oxides. 

Oxides of alkali metals are soluble in  water.


NON METALS:


NON METALS  are either solids and gas. they are neither malleable nor ductile.they are  NON conductor of heat and electricity  graphite  it is  conductor  they are melting  points and boiling point are the low.

Diamond it has the highest  melting points .
